Invest in your future
If you plan to attend a four-year college program, the Army ROTC Four-Year Scholarship might be right for you.
These scholarship opportunities are competitive, and the selection rate is limited. Applications are typically due in early January. There are approximately 2,000 scholarships to award—1,000 of these are 4-year scholarships. These pay for 4 years of college, including tuition and fees, a book allowance, and a monthly stipend.
In addition, half of the scholarships are 3-year advanced designee (3AD) scholarships, paying for 3 years of college. If you are in this situation, the first year costs are yours and is what the Army refers to as your validation year. To validate your 3AD scholarship, you must achieve a 2.5 cumulative GPA by the end of your first year and pass the Army physical fitness test (APFT).
Regardless of the scholarship, after you receive an award, you must maintain a 2.0 GPA and pass the APFT to keep the scholarship.
