Biography

Kirkland Moore, Captain (CPT), MA, began her military career in 2015 commissioning as a 2LT from North Carolina State University as field artillery officer. Moore was assigned to Ft. Stewart, GA as a fire direction officer and brigade S1 and deployed to Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan.

Moore attended Adjutant General Captain Career Course in Fort Jackson, SC prior to being assigned as a battalion S1 and company commander at the National Security Agency (NSA) at Fort Meade, MD. Moore joined the IU Indianapolis Army ROTC program in 2022 as the military science 200 and american military history instructor.

Moore's military awards and decorations include te Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (10LC), Army Achievement Medal (10LC), National Defence Service Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, and the NATO Meritorious Service Medal.

Moore earned her master's of the arts in higher education administration from the University of Louisville in 2023.
