Biography

Cody Frederick, Master Sergeant (MSG) enlisted as an infantryman in 2007. His previous duty assignments include: 1-508th Parachute Infantry Regiment 82nd Airborne Division Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 1-4 Infantry Regiment (OPFOR) 7th Army Hohenfels, Germany; 1-507th Parachute Infantry Regiment Airborne and Ranger Training Brigade Fort Benning, Georgia; 1-32 Cavalry Regiment 101st Airborne Division Fort Campbell, Kentucky; 2-327 Infantry Regiment 101st Airborne Division Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Frederick has held the positions of rifleman, automatic rifleman, fire team leader, squad leader, platoon sergeant, reconnaissance platoon sergeant, and assistant operations sergeant. He has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2008, 2009-2010, and 2012 with the 82nd Airborne Division.

Frederick's awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (5 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (10 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (3 Campaign Stars), Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 2), NATO-ISAF Medal, Valorous Unit Award, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Marksmanship Qualification Badge Expert, Latvian Parachutist Badge, and Canadian Parachutist Badge.
